SERPONG, ULTIMAGZ.com — Belakangan ini, dunia maya kembali viral dengan kehadiran mainan yang dijuluki Labubu. Tak hanya anak-anak, orang dewasa pun turut mengantre untuk membeli mainan yang menggemaskan ini.
Kemunculan Labubu ini bermula pada 2019 oleh seorang seniman asal Hong Kong bernama Kasing Lung. Lalu, karakter imut ini diproduksi dan didistribusi oleh Pop Mart, yaitu perusahaan asal China yang menjual berbagai mainan koleksi dalam bentuk kotak misterius.

Labubu merupakan sebuah karakter berwajah bulat dengan mata besar, senyum lebar, dan gigi tajam. Terinspirasi oleh legenda rakyat Nordik dan imajinasi tanpa batas anak-anak, Labubu muncul sebagai karakter yang hidup, menyenangkan, dan penuh misteri.
Dikutip dari rri.co.id, Labubu adalah sosok monster elf yang selalu berusaha membantu tetapi tanpa sengaja selalu melakukan hal buruk. Terdapat beberapa karakter lain selain Labubu yang menjadi bagian dari koleksi “The Monster” seperti Tycoo, Zimomo, dan Spooky.
Labubu juga hadir dalam lebih dari 300 variasi warna termasuk warna rahasia, bentuk, dan ukuran. Maka dari itu, harga boneka Labubu ini sangat variatif, mulai dari Rp 300 ribu hingga Rp 14,5 juta berdasarkan jenis dan ukurannya.
Walaupun telah diproduksi sejak 2015 dan 2019, Labubu justru viral belakangan ini di berbagai belahan dunia terutama di Asia karena unggahan Lisa Blackpink. Melansir detik.com, pada April 2024, Lisa mengunggah videonya ketika melakukan unboxing boneka Labubu di Instagram.

Selain Labubu, terdapat beberapa mainan blind box Pop Mart yang viral, salah satunya adalah Sonny Angels. Berbeda dengan Labubu, karakter Sonny Angels merupakan malaikat laki-laki kecil.
Saat ini, boneka Labubu juga dijadikan tren fesyen karena dapat dijadikan gantungan untuk mempercantik tas dan celana. Jadi, apakah Ultimates tertarik untuk membeli boneka Labubu?
