SERPONG, ULTIMAGZ.COM – Dewa United Banten (DUB) berhasil raih sepuluh kemenangan beruntun dalam week 9 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) 2024 pada Minggu (21/04/24) setelah mengalahkan tim tamu Bali United.
Pertandingan digelar di markas DUB, yaitu Dewa United Arena, Tangerang, Banten. Untuk pertandingan ini, pelatih DUB Pablo Favarel menurunkan lima pemain dalam starting V. Mulai dari Lester Prosper (32), Jordan Adams (5), Kaleb Ramot Gemilang (13), Tavario Miller (11), hingga Hardianus Lakudu (2).

Sejak kuarter pertama dimulai, Anak Dewa (Dewa United Banten) mampu memimpin jalannya pertandingan. Tim asuhan Pablo Favarel mampu mencatatkan 34 poin di kuarter pertama dan menciptakan jarak sembilan poin dari Bali United yang mencetak 25 poin.
Memasuki kuarter kedua, DUB juga berhasil memimpin pertandingan. Tim tuan rumah lagi-lagi berhasil menciptakan jarak sembilan poin dari Bali United dengan mencetak 22 poin tambahan. Kendati demikian, tim tamu juga mampu meraih 22 poin dengan total 47 poin pada kuarter kedua. Halftime berakhir dengan DUB unggul sembilan poin melalui skor 56-47.
Dalam kuarter ketiga, Dewa United semakin mendominasi pertandingan yang dibuka oleh jump shot dari Lester (32). Lalu, tim tuan rumah juga berhasil memperlebar jarak dengan 21 poin lebih jauh dari tim tamu dengan raihan 89 poin. Sementara itu, Bali United mencetak 68 poin.
Selanjutnya, pada kuarter keempat, Dewa United lagi-lagi mencetak lebih banyak poin dengan raihan 113 poin. Tim tuan rumah unggul 32 poin dari tim tamu yang meraih 81 poin pada kuarter terakhir pertandingan. Melalui raihan poin tersebut, DUB berhasil menang dengan skor 113-81 atas Bali United.
Hasil pertandingan ini membawa DUB dalam sepuluh kemenangan beruntun. Sepanjang kompetisi IBL 2024, Anak Dewa belum pernah mengalami kekalahan.
Akan tetapi, dilansir dari dewaunited.com, pelatih Dewa United Pablo Favarel mengakui bahwa rekor tersebut tidak membuatnya puas.
“Para pemain bekerja sangat keras, mereka sangat berkomitmen dan itu terlihat di lapangan. Kami tidak peduli dengan rekor, kami tidak melihat rekor, kami tidak mau melihatnya,” ucapnya dalam konferensi pers pasca pertandingan, Minggu (21/04/24).
Selain itu, Lester (32) berhasil mencetak 42 poin dalam pertandingan ini. Raihan poin tersebut merupakan angka poin tertinggi yang dicetak oleh Prosper dalam karir basketnya.
Dalam konferensi pers, pemain naturalisasi Indonesia tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa rekor tersebut juga tidak terlepas dari kontribusi rekan-rekannya.

“Tim kami kuat karena kami latihan dengan baik. Kami sangat lapar akan kemenangan, jadi kami selalu meningkatkan pertahanan meskipun kami harus melewati celah kecil dalam transisi,” tutur Lester (32).
Dari pertandingan ini, Dewa United Banten berhasil mengantongi 20 poin dan menduduki peringkat ketiga pada klasemen sementara IBL 2024.
