SERPONG, ULTIMAGZ – Mahasiswa Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) meluncurkan program “Sirene Mandiri Desa” di Desa Situregen sebagai upaya meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat dalam menghadapi potensi bencana megathrust sekaligus memperingati 20 tahun tragedi tsunami Aceh.
Program yang berlangsung pada 11—14 November 2024 ini melibatkan pemasangan sirene dan papan informasi interaktif di Masjid Al Ihtiad. Selain itu, program ini menyediakan tombol audio untuk edukasi masyarakat tentang suara sirene dan tindakan yang harus diambil saat peringatan berbunyi.

Puncak kegiatan yang diadakan pada Kamis (14/11/24) menghadirkan sosialisasi dan lokakarya bagi warga dalam pemeliharaan sirene, yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kesiapan komunitas secara mandiri dalam situasi darurat.
Muhammad Sultan Faraj sebagai Ketua Program Sirene Mandiri Desa menyoroti pentingnya kolaborasi antar berbagai pihak dalam kegiatan ini.
Bekerja sama dengan Gugus Mitigasi Lebak Selatan (GMLS), Forum Pengurangan Risiko Bencana Desa Tangguh Bencana (FPRB DESTANA) Situregen, dan pihak swasta seperti PT Crystal Biru Meuligo, program ini berfokus pada penguatan sistem peringatan dini berbasis komunitas.
“Kolaborasi antara institusi pendidikan, pemerintah, organisasi lokal, dan pihak swasta menjadi kunci kesiapsiagaan masyarakat yang tangguh. Kami berterima kasih kepada semua pihak yang berkontribusi, termasuk PT Crystal Biru Meuligo atas dukungan finansial yang signifikan,” ujarnya.

Sementara itu, Kepala Bidang Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Haji Asep Mulya Hidayat mengapresiasi inisiatif ini sebagai contoh kepedulian generasi muda, khususnya generasi Z, terhadap mitigasi bencana.
“Saya sangat senang bisa hadir dalam kegiatan sosialisasi mandiri desa ini. Saya tidak menyangka masih ada anak muda gen Z yang peduli terhadap lingkungan, terutama mengenai mitigasi bencana. Hal ini mengubah persepsi saya mengenai gen Z,” tambahnya.
Program ini diharapkan menjadi model bagi kesiapan komunitas lainnya dalam menghadapi potensi ancaman megathrust dan meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah akan peristiwa tsunami Aceh yang berdampak besar bagi Indonesia.
